WoWps.org was born in 2006 from DJRavine's passion for World of Warcraft and the private server community. What started as a small Mangos-based server grew into one of the largest private server communities of its era — peaking at nearly 99,000 registered users across a decade of operation.
The site was built on the Mangos WoW private server web frontend by Alexandr Arutyunov (Lordsc), customised with a World of Warcraft Burning Crusade era aesthetic. The vBulletin forums launched on February 17, 2007, with Ryu as the first registered member. Within 18 months the community had surpassed 25,000 users. The forums hosted 5 emulator sections, a casino plugin, a shoutbox, custom development tools, and projects like FrozenBlade, Project: Genocide, and Covert Ops.
The sister site NADAsoft.ath.cx (later NADAsoft.net) served as DJRavine's personal portfolio and community hub, hosting WoW fonts, emulator tools, and coding tutorials that were downloaded over 20,000 times.
This archive exists to preserve that memory — the friendships, the late-night raids, the forum debates, and the creative energy that made WoWps.org special.
